All Are Welcome

At St Nicholas Methodist you will find a friendly welcome where we help each other to worship God, and strive to live more like Christ in service beyond the walls of our church building. We are part of the Exeter Coast and Country Circuit.

Christ the King Forever

“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

These words from Revelation thunder with hope and certainty: “He will reign forever and ever.” Amid all the shifting powers and fragile promises of this world, this is the truth we cling to: Christ is King—and His reign is eternal.

Governments change. Kingdoms rise and fall. Even the best human systems are flawed. But the kingdom of Christ is unshakable. It does not fade, falter, or fail. The vision John sees in Revelation is not fantasy—it’s a future reality breaking into the present.

And here's the incredible invitation: we don’t have to wait until the end of time to live under Christ’s reign. We can honour Him as King now—in our hearts, our homes, our churches, and our communities.

To declare “Christ is King forever” is not just a theological statement—it’s a daily decision. It’s to say, “You are Lord of my life today, and I trust you with all my tomorrows.”

During the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, observers noticed how ornate and heavy the crown was—a symbol of both responsibility and reign. Yet even that crown, like all earthly thrones, will one day pass to another.

Not so with Christ. His crown never slips. His rule never weakens. His kingdom never ends. The crown of Christ is not made of gold, but of glory. He reigns not by conquest, but by love, justice, and resurrection power. He is the forever King—unchanging in a changing world.

You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Christ our King, I give you my today—and trust you with tomorrow. Reign in my heart, reign in the world, and reign forever. Amen.
