Luke 23:27- 31 A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him. Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’Then “‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
The women wail, they show their grief
(Whilst men abandon, run and leave.)
Their tears, their all encompassed pain
Speaks of messiah’s inner reign.
O Christ, who wipes away each tear
Work in my life beyond my fear.
You comfort, strengthen, ease their pain
And change their fear, give hope again
You point beyond the present time
To future life and joy sublime
O Christ, who wipes away each tear
May I live on beyond all fear.

As I view the daily news, there is much in this world Lord, that I weep over, when I feel powerless and can do nothing else. Lord Jesus, give me true strength, to live a life dedicated to you; that I may be more active in my discipleship, to your glory. Amen
